Spain Trip // Madrid

Thursday, March 03, 2016

Madrid was our last stop on our trip, and it was the best place to have it all come to an end. By that point, I was craving a bit of city life, and the hustle and bustle of Madrid was the perfect remedy. Our hotel was located on the busy Gran Vía street, and there was so many sights nearby that we were able to make it around most of the time on foot.

WHERE WE STAYED: Hotel de las Letras

PLACES WE ATE: Opera Pizza (delivery), McDonalds, Starbucks, Cerveceria La Mayor, Cafe Prado, Steak Burger Bar, Rosa Negra, Al Trapo.

THINGS WE DID: Walked to Plaza de Espana with our morning lattes, strolled through the Jardines de Sabatini, got to walk through the Palacio Real de Madrid and see all the beautiful old rooms, stopped by Palacio de Cibeles and saw an art exhibit, then walked over to the Prado Museum (which was so gigantic, it would have taken us several trips to see everything), took photos in the Real Jardin Botanico, listened to a street musician playing at the Parque del Retiro and then discovered the beautiful Palacio de Cristal.
