Spain Trip // Valencia

Monday, February 29, 2016

Driving to our next destination is always part of the fun of traveling for us. In my opinion, making our way through random towns, and getting to see open countryside and making our way through random towns is just another part of what makes traveling so special.

Valencia was our half way point on our trip, and we ended up spending a brief two days there.

WHERE WE STAYED: Hotel Las Arenas

PLACES WE ATE: La Pepica, Destino 56, Chocolateria Valor, Plaza Tapas y Bocadillos, Eslora 92, Taco Chef.

THINGS WE DID: Had to refrain from petting really cute, wild cats, ate authentic paella at the legendary La Pepica restaurant which was founded in 1898 and was a favorite of Ernest Hemingway's, walked along the shore of Playa del Las Arenas collecting small shells, explored the streets of Plaza de la Reina and Plaza de la Virgen, walked across the city taking pictures and ate Valencia oranges off trees in the park, saw an elephant and tigers up close by peeking through a fence behind a traveling circus, and lounged poolside.
